Evabella's arts presentation. Alexander plays the violin.
Evabella invited her big brother Alexander to play the violin for us. He is putting the foam chin rest under the violin to make it comfortable when he plays. |
The violin has 4 strings. Each string makes a different sound. You can pluck the string with your finger or run the bow across the string to make a sound. |
Alexander does not read music when he plays a tune. He listens to a tune and then plays it by ear. This is the Suzuki method of learning to play music. |
Alexander is playing the violin with the bow. We thought he was very clever being able to play so many tunes without music. Thank you for inviting Alexander to play for us Evabella.

Jubilee Tile Making
Jubilee Tile Making on PhotoPeach
We had so much fun designing our tile for the Jubilee wall. It had to be something we enjoyed about school. Many children draw pictures about our trip to the rocky shore and aquarium. Sharks and penguins were very popular. Other special activties and learning were - making, painting, maths, discovery and walking the dog to school. We can't wait to see what the tiles will look like after Kay Kay has fired them in the kiln. she tells us that they will be bright and shiny!
