Oral
Language- I am learning to present a report from the newspaper, internet,
website or a book about an event that is happening or has happened, in my
environment.
The environment can be local, (Havelock North,
Hawkes Bay), national (New Zealand) or international (World).
An example of
suitable happenings the children may like to talk about may be – effects of the
weather, conservation projects, autumn photos, earthquake developments, Anzac Day,
endangered species. (The websites listed
on the Blog may help. Keep it simple.)
I am learning to speak clearly and
confidently in front of an audience.
I can do this if I-
- Speak slowly and clearly.
- Use a loud voice others can hear.
- Look at my audience when I am speaking
I am learning to tell my audience about a
happening in my environment..
I can do this if
I-
- Introduce the report by reading the
heading.
- Tell my audience
